The NHR200-II heating reactor is a small and advanced reactor designed and developed by INET. It has a number of technical features that contribute to the excellent safety, such as:
l Integrated and compact layout
l Natural circulation covering full range of power
l Self-stabilization capability of primary pressure
l Inherent safety features such as passive heat removal
l In-vessel control rods driven by hydraulic mechanism
INET is committed to promoting and applying the NHR200-II heating reactor technology in several engineering projects. These projects are exploring the possible comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy to produce electricity, heat, water, and steam. Scenarios such as district heating, industrial heating, and comprehensive energy supply in remote areas are discussed.
