Prof. Li’s research interests are in the areas of radioactive water treatment with membrane separation technology.
Prof. Li is interested in the combination of pressure-drive membrane and electrically-drive membrane to separate different components in radioactive waste liquid. Main applied fields include but not limited to:
(1) Treat the radionuclides in the radioactive waste liquid to the natural background radioactive level;
(2) Separation of high concentration boron in radioactive waste liquid;
(3) Separation of high concentration acid in radioactive waste liquid.
All these research results have been applied in the nuclear industry.
At present, Prof. Li has more interests in the research of membrane materials, particularly the modification of ion exchange membrane.
