Dr. Guo’s research interests are in the areas of nuclear fuel research, nuclear materials and overall design of reactor, etc.
Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Material
Research and development of nuclear fuel elements are carried out from several aspects: structure design, material selection, model analysis, component manufacturing and test verification, to meet the nuclear physics and thermal requirements of different reactors.
In addition, irradiation behavior of nuclear fuel elements, such as fuel channel distortion of NHR, swelling and creep of high flux reactor fuel element, and release of radioactive products are also studied.
Overall Design of Reactor
The standard systems from site selection to design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear heating reactor, high flux reactor, and other SMR are studied.
