Areas of Research Interests/ Research Projects

Prof. Li has been working on the special process parameter measurement for decades. He has more than ten patents on the integrated rod position measurement. Some innovative techniques, such as compression coding measurement, floating adaptive denoising, and parameter adaptive stability technology have been developed by the team guided by Prof. Li. The prototype devices of rod position have passed the composite environment performance test.

Prof. Li worked on scaling analysis technology for more than eight years. He has developed the prototype models for the large passive containment cooling test facility, which was built for the verification test of PWR Major national projects. He also guided the sloshing natural circulation scaling model with department teams.

Prof. Li also concentrates on the flashing mechanism and feature recognition for years. His has guided doctoral students who developed a unified formula to describe flash evaporation, which may fit high-pressure situation as well as low pressure conditions. The relationship between high and low pressure conditions in the classical flash theory is established by this formula. The innovative drag reduction research is on the way.

Prof. Li has participated the international cooperation projects which was organized by IAEA in Croatia. The sensitivity analysis of China's energy structure was built with intelligent planning and optimization technology.
