Mr. LU’s research interests are in the areas of energy and environmental economics, the policy analysis of climate change mitigation, etc..

Energy and environmental economics

Energy and environmental economics is to study the allocation of energy and environmental resources based on the methods and ideas of economics. For example, using the computable general equilibrium (CGE) model to study the influence of carbon tax on economy and industry, using scenarios analysis method to study future economic development and greenhouse gas emission pathways, as well as future energy demand trends; using econometrics methods to study the path of China's industrial and energy transition, etc..

Quantitative analysis of climate change mitigation policy

The quantitative studies of climate change mitigation policy, includes compiling greenhouse gas emission inventory of some industries, studying the benchmarks and advanced values of some industries, accounting method of carbon dioxide emission of enterprises from cement and plate glass industry, allocation method and quantitative analysis of the quota of enterprises in cement and plate glass industry, etc..
