Concurrent Academic
Dr. Deng’s research interests are in the areas of nuclear fuels and materials, particularly for HTGR.
Areas of Research Interests/ Research Projects
Preparation of nuclear fuel microspheres and related ceramic materials
Solution-based and combined with high temperature processing and technologies for the preparation of UO2 and other non-oxide ceramic microspheres are under study.
The chemistry involved in the solution and at high temperature for the preparation of the ceramic microspheres. The microstructure and crystalline structure are also of interests.
High temperature densification technologies for and mechanism in non-oxide ceramic microspheres.
Honors And Awards
Research and application of the key technologies for large-scale production of pebble fuels for HTRG, The Chinese Society of Nuclear Energy Industry.
