Teaching and Research

In last sixteen years after getting doctorate, Dr. Jia has being engaged in nuclear seawater desalination, reactor thermal-hydraulic and safety research. His research interests involve the seawater desalination (MED and RO), low pressure, low quality vapor-water two-phase flow stability and heat transfer in natural circulation loop, enhanced heat transfer, fluid-solid mutual action and surface corrosion, decomposing hazardous chemical waste by molten salt etc. Now Dr. Jia is the graduate director in reactor engineering and safety.

Dr. Jia has gotten 3 research progress awards from Ministry of Education of China and a test technology award from Tsinghua University. In last several years, he published more than 40 papers in international and domestic technology journals and conferences. In addition, a hundred page research report published in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) has been accepted by American database NTIS (National Technical Information Service).
