ARES-MOE Lab Announcing the Outstanding Paper Awards for 2022

The Key Laboratory of Advanced Reactor Engineering and Safety of the Ministry of Education (ARES-MOE Lab) announced the Outstanding Paper Awards for 2022 on Apr. 12th, 2023. The awarding ceremony was held in INET, Tsinghua University. Prof. Shengyao Jiang, Director of the ARES-MOE Lab, presented the awards to the winners. Prof. Jiyuan Tu and other ARES-MOE Lab members attended the awarding ceremony and talked about the development of the ARES-MOE Lab. With the support of the Lab, the numbers of high-quality research papers are increasing year by year, and remain at a high level, with nearly 140 high-level papers published in 2022. The journal, "Experimental and Computational Multiphase Flow" (ECMF), founded by the ARES-MOE Lab, has been successfully indexed by the ESCI (Emerging Sources Citations Index), EI (Engineering Index), and Scopus. Prof. Jiang congratulated the award-winning faculty and students. Then, he emphasized that the year 2023 will be an important year not only for China but also for Tsinghua University. A series of strategic meetings were held in 2022, such as the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the 15th Party Congress for Tsinghua University and so on. Tsinghua University is striving to move to the forefront of world-class universities. He encouraged the winners and all the Lab members of ARES-MOE to involve themselves in the era when Tsinghua University is moving towards the forefront of world-class universities and the country is moving towards "national rejuvenation". He urged everyone to work hard, be diligent, and strive to build a first-class research team in the field of nuclear engineering and new energy and build the ARES-MOE Lab into a research institution with internationally renowned reputation.

The ARES-MOE Lab sets up the Outstanding Paper Awards to encourage the academic research in the field of advanced reactor engineering and safety. The awards are given once a year to the papers reviewed and recommended by the Academic Committee of the ARES-MOE Lab.
