Division of Instrumentation & Control System
The Division of Instrumentation & Control System is engaged in the research and development of instrumentation and control (I&C) system of advanced nuclear reactors, with emphasis on the digital reactor protection system, on the verification and validation techniques of safety software, on the modeling, simulation and dynamics of nuclear reactors, on the advanced man-machine interfaces, and other related projects..
Organization and Contacts:
According to the research directions, there are 3 main research groups at present, i.e., a) The Nuclear Instrument and Reactor Protection System R&D group, b) The Computer and Control System R&D group, c) The Reactor Electric and Control System R&D group.
Research Directions:
The main task of I&C division is to study and develop the advanced digital I&C system in nuclear power plants. The research directions mainly include:
The architecture of advanced digital I&C system, the high reliable design and system integrating technology in nuclear power plants
The development of important digital I&C system equipments, such as reactor protection system and nuclear measurement system
The software design technology with high reliability, and the verification and validation (V&V) technology of safety software
The applications of reactor diagnosis, reactor core status monitoring and other operating functions, which using neural network, noises analysis and non-linear system identification method, etc
The studies of modeling, simulation and dynamic characteristic on advanced nuclear power plants
The applications of advanced control arithmetic, control strategy and the modern control theory on the nuclear power plants The studies on reactor electric engineering, advanced reactor electric power system and its reliability, etc
