Division of Nuclear Safety and Environment

The division's major research activities are focused on the safety analysis and assessment of nuclear energy system. They include radiological environmental impact assessment, probabilistic safety analysis (PSA), and safety and environmental issues of other energy systems etc.Owing to its remarkable records in scientific researches, the division has been selected as the technical support center for nuclear emergency management by the National Nuclear Emergency Management Administration (NNEMA) and appointed the technical support center for PSA related activities authorized by the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA).
