Division of Reactor Structure

The Division of Reactor Structure carries out both research and design for nuclear reactor components and systems. Its research addresses broad themes such as optimal design of the reactor equipment and systems (core, pressure vessel and heat exchangers), mechanical analysis of nuclear equipment, new types of control rod drive mechanisms, thermal transmission and hydrodynamic analysis of loop systems, particle dynamics under high temperatures, and an intelligent evaluation system for nuclear equipment. Nuclear safety and economy are the goals of this research.
